End of Season Awards

To celebrate the participation and achievements of our nippers each season, Wanda Nippers awards a range of end of season awards.

Age group awards (male and female seperate)

Age Champion – lowest combined Championship Day points
Runner Up Age Champion – 2nd lowest Championship Day points
Water Champion – lowest combined Championship Day points in wade, swim*, board* and ironperson*/wade ironperson**
Beach Champion – lowest combined Championship Day points in flags, beach sprint and beach run
Surf Board Riding Champion*** – winner board riding event
Encouragement Award – determined by Age Manager & Assistants
Surf Life Saving Award – demonstrates qualities of a future life saver
Attendance Award – selected nippers – read more on attendance awards
Participation Award – all nippers in age group except those who have received one of the above awards

Nipper of the Year – outstanding all-round u13 male nipper
Nipperette of the Year – outstanding all-round u13 female nipper
Chairperson’s Award (male) – runner up Nipper of the Year
Chairperson’s Award (female) – runner up nipperette of the Year
Club Award for Boys – male nipper who displays outstanding club spirit and work ethic
Club Award for Girls – female nipper who displays outstanding club spirit and work ethic
Don Hudson Award – most improved water competitor
George Robbins Award – most improved beach competitor
Michelle Hogan Award – female encouragement award
Rod Whiteman Award – male encouragement award

U8-u14 awards notes:

To be eligible for awards, nippers must have a minimum 60% attendance at “100% days” during the year. See Calendar
Awards are given out at an event, around one month after nippers concludes. See Calendar
